Thank you Mike, I only recently found your work thanks to Bret and I am glad you made these episodes to help shed light on this illness. I have been a fan of Bret's since 2017 and James and Peter ever since they went on Rogan. I am currently working my way through New discourses which I must admit is hard work as most of this is new to me but learning. The more I learn the more I see it all around me and how they are using it to manipulate the people esp here in OZ. I watched on during covid in total disbelief, thank God I was in NQ so no lockdown and I am self-employed so no Jabs. I am almost certain I got covid in Vietnam in Jan 2020 and flew back with in on the 17th Jan. When we landed in the GC people with hazmat suits boarded our plane, did some stuff up the front and got off without saying a world, at the time covid wasn't even in the news. Crazy times not sure how anyone could have done Victoria I would have been burning buildings. It's absolutely mental here atm and shows no signs of getting better, I'm not sure if you are following this Voice craziness or not but damm what a shit show. Anyway, keep up the good work and if you find a new country for a building designer and teacher (wife) let me know. I prob I have 2-5 years max here before I go insane.
I’ll just agree with other comments that the ending was a bit…nebulous? In fact, I found the entire series that way—a bit lacking context, or requiring the viewer to figure out what’s going on instead of explaining it. (I did mostly listen while busy with other tasks, not watch it straight through or read all the accompanying text.). Because I’m quite familiar with the Grievance Studies, I followed fine, but I wondered if someone coming in cold would have done the same. I chalked it up to being 54 and stuck in the 20th century and not being familiar with this new type of documentary style. Lol. But after reading the other comments thought I’d share my perspective. Really appreciate all your work and best wishes for your future endeavors.
Thanks for the feedback, Kari. I do put a lot on the viewer. I want viewers to be mentally active and draw their own conclusions, which can feel draining/difficult attention-wise. That's part of why I think it works best broken up into a series. I'll give this some more consideration though, in relation to the ending.
I have a question: somewhere here in all the viewing and reading, I found an excellent explanation by Micheal about calling this Identitarianism or something like that as opposed to using the words "woke ideology." Can anyone tell me where to read that again?
Thank you! Love this. Also, I ordered Helen's book that comes out in December. I'm a leftie in a world of lefties in a red state. I so appreciate your work.
I did mention in the accompanying text for part four "I plan to delve deeper into Peter‘s PSU saga, share some more deleted scenes, and write up an epilogue, before finally putting Grievance Studies Affair to bed." Perhaps that's a little confusing. So yes, part four is the last instalment of the series but there's some more on the subject coming that might be considered additional/deleted scenes. I'd like to explore a few other things first though so these will be a little while off.
Yea, I think when I read that, my mind took that as it was coming up next. Because this is a monthly subscription, I don't want to keep the sub going if that content isn't coming out asap. So, I am gonna cancel but let me know when that stuff is coming out!
So am I to understand you're only interested in The Reformers related posts, or you haven't been receiving my other posts? I'm checking because I'm told Substack can have issues with SPAM folders.
I'm confused because there hasn't been an installment since May 21st and it felt like this thing just started, I don't want to pay for another month(s) if there is no more content coming. Pretty simple.
I have to say, just because I very much understand how honest feedback of the perception of a piece of art is so valuable, that I also did not know that this was the last episode. I was just on here looking for episode 5...
I've kept up on this and love what you did... and actually sent a song into Peters "Why I left NPR" series :-) but at least to me.. I agree with Nathan that I was confused and did not know/feel that this series had ended at the end of episode 4.... take it as you will.... but honest feedback about also being confused. :-)
Brilliant work! You've started the Great Unraveling!

You're welcome. I'm happy to hear the piece had an effect. Thanks.
I am confused. Is this series done?
What are you confused about? Does it not feel like it has a sufficient conclusion/ending to you?

That's correct. I am only in interested in The Reformers posts.
Okay cool, thanks for the feedback.
