A filmmaker's life is one of constant exploration and documentation. As I ply my trade, I jot down reams of observations and file away hours of footage that no one will ever see. While I try to distill the essence of what I discover, for each film I create, I'm left with notebooks full of insights and unused scenes that speak volumes to me but have no place in the final cut.
That’s the basis of this publication - I want to draw out my private filmmaking process and invite you to be part of it.
The shape of my next major project isn’t clear yet, I’m trying to understand the emerging regime of discourse engineers in the West while searching for characters and stories that encapsulate our perilous transition to the information age.
As I explore this subject matter deeply, I’ll share short films and articles, recorded discussions, creative experimentations, and whatever strikes me as valuable while I truffle-pig my way around the world searching for inspiration.
Your paid subscriptions will open up avenues for me as I strive to leverage my one-man-band operation into high-production-value feature films. My hope is that this will become a viable development model that enables me to sidestep the established industry to produce genuinely avant-garde documentaries.
Welcome to my Process.
Hi Mike,
I just arrived here from Patreon.
As a cognitive scientist who got canceled himself, I have a insights into the psychology of the cancelers that few have. I made a video that describes part of my current understanding of why canceling has the features it has.

You might find it useful.

I supported you a few years ago via another platform, and am glad I can finally give you support again! And you have my permission to use my name on your next feature film :)
Thank you for all the work you're doing with Peter, James, Helen, Brett and Heather. I'm one of those crazy people that have been following them since the Evergreen blow up and watched anything Benjamin has released about it. It's more than 24 episodes by the way, I think that's just the "official" episodes that are labeled - there are far more, probably close to 100+ by now - and I have watched them all.
